Indians skate to a 3-3 tie with Honeybaked

In the opening game of the Compuware/Honeybaked tournament the Indians came out ready to play.  In the first period both teams skated even throughout the period exchanging good scoring chances.  In the second Hudson Troyer found a rebound and in front of the net on hard work by Jason Kasper and made no mistake burying it for the 1-0 lead.  Two minutes later Mat Thurston scored from Cody Colegrove to up 2-0 midway through the second period.  Honeybaked came back with 3 unanswered goals to take the lead, however the team didn’t quit and late in second period Thurston scored his second of the game from Warner Young to even the score again.  Neither team could get the go ahead goal and the game ended tied.  Alex Rairigh was in net for the Indians.

The Indians will face Hill Academy at 4 pm this afternoon
