Indians fall to Texas 4-3

In the first game the Indians jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period on goals by Casey Gilling assisted by Tyler Baker, Trevor Jestadt from Andrew Barbeau and Frankie Pucci. The third goal was scored by Frankie Pucci from Cole Lussier and Tyler Baker. The Tornadoes fought back to within one goal on power plays and tied the game with 37 seconds remaining. During a scramble in front of the Indians net with 17 seconds remaining the puck found its way into the net giving Texas the win.

Coach Carricato comments concerning the game were that "we need to be mentally stronger when pushed by the opposition and close the game out the right way"

Next action will be at 630 this evening against the Chicago Mission at the Hazel Park Arena


The Indians travel to Detroit for the Compuware/Honeybaked Tournament

The Indians first action of the weekend will be at the Farmington Hills Arena against the Texas Tornado at 1130 Friday morning with their second game being played at the Hazel Park Arena at 630 pm against the Chicago Mission. On Saturday the Indians will face off against the Oakland Grizzlies at 130 at the Hazel Park Arena.


Indians fall to the Thunder 3-1


The Soo Indians finish the weekend with a win and a tie against the Windsor spitfires

On Saturday the Indians jumped out to an early led to 2-0 in the first period, however Windsor fought back to tie the game through two periods. In the third period the Indians scored to take the lead, but with 3 minutes remaining Windsor tied the game on a power play and the game ended at 3-3.

On Sunday the Indians again jumped out to an early lead in the first period. The teams traded goals and the teams went to the dressing rooms tied at 2-2 at the end of the second period. In the third period the Indians jumped out to a 4-2 lead, Windsor answered back to close the score and made a final charge with the goalie pulled by couldn't get one in the net and the game ended 4-3.

Next action for the Indians will be the Compuware/Honeybaked tournament were they will play the Texas Tornado in their first game.


The Indians finish the weekend with a loss 3-2 to Michigan Elite

The team battled hard through out the game however a goal with 18 seconds left in the third period gave Michigan Elite the win.

Overall it was a great weekend for the team finishing with 3 wins and 1 loss. Next games are against the Windsor Spitfires in two weeks.
