Indians rebound to take a 4-1 win over the Kings

In the second game of the 3 game series the Indians came out strong. Throughout the first period both teams had several chances but with 1 second left Andrew Barbeau scored a power play goal from Cole Lussier and Seiya Hayata to take a 1-0 lead into the dressing room. In the second period the Indians continued when Brenden MacLaren took a pass from Trevor Jestadt and buried a shot in the top corner. Trevor Jestadt then scored on the power play on assists from Frankie Pucci and Cole Lussier to finish the period 3-0. In the third period Frankie Pucci scored from Cole Lussier and Seiya Hayata. Thunder Bay finally scored with 1:35 left to break the shut out with the score ending up 4-1. Jarod Sauve had the win in net.

The finally game of the six game series will be tomorrow at 10 am


Indians drop their first game in Thunder Bay 5-4

The kings scored first on power play and lead at the end of first period 1-0. In second period Thunder Bay jumped out to 2-0 lead before Ethan St.Germain pulled the Indians within one on a power play with an assist going to Kyle Yates. The Kings scored again to end the second period 3-1. In the third period the Indians picked up their game and fought back to within one on goals by Frankie Pucci unassisted and Cole Lussier from Trevor Jestadt and Tyler Baker. Thunder Bay scored again to take a two goal lead into the final minutes however the Indians refused to give up and Trevor Jestadt scored a shorthanded goal assisted by Frankie Pucci. The Indians applied all the offensive pressure they could but didn't get the tying goal. Brandon Gordon took the lose in net.

The two teams meet again tonight at 7 pm


Indians finish the three game series with one win and two losses against the Thunder Bay kings

In Friday nights game the kings struck first and lead 1-0 at the end of the first period. Andrew Barbeau scored at the 47 second mark from Cole Lussier to tie the game, Thunder Bay took the lead again at 3:22 mark however Mike Miller scored assisted by Brian Stack and the two teams went to the dressing room tied at the end of two periods. In the third period Thunder Bay dominated scoring 7 unanswered goals to solidify the win. Brandon Gordon took the lose in net.

In Saturdays game Thunder Bay took a 2 goal lead early in the first period, at the 17:40 mark Casey Gilling scored with assists going to Landon Hubbard and Ethan St.Germain to close the gap to one goal. In the second period Thunder Bay scored two goals to take a 3 goal lead into the dressing room at the end of the second period. In the third period the Indians responded by scoring two goals, Trevor Temple from Cade Nolan and Mike Miller, Ethan St.Germain from Landon Hubbard. In the final minutes the Indians put relentless pressure on the kings but couldn't get a goal and Thunder Bay held on for the 4-3 win. Brandon Gordon took the lose in net.

On Sunday the Indians started fast and never looked back. At the 3:42 mark Mike Miller scored assisted by Brendan MacLaren. Two minutes later Frankie Pucci scored assisted by Cole Lussier and Seiya Hayata and held a two goal lead at the end of the first period. Thunder Bay scored at 5:37 mark of the to get the game within one goal. However from that point on the Indians dominated play scoring 4 unanswered goals, Kyle Yates from Ethan St.Germain and Casey Gilling, Ethan St. Germain from Cade Nolan and Kyle Yates, Brendan MacLaren from Mike Miller, and Frankie Pucci from Cole Lussier and Casey Gilling. Collin Walsh took the win in net.

The Indians travel to Thunder Bay next weekend to play three more games against the Kings.


Indians win the bronze metal championship game with a 2-1 overtime victory over the Lansing Capitals

Lansing jumped out to 1 goal lead at the 5:31 mark of the first period. At the the 3:02 mark of the second period Ethan St.Germain took a nice pass from Casey Gilling and put it past the Lansing goalie to tie the game at 1. The teams played even throughout the remainder of the game and it went to overtime.

At the 2:48 mark of the first overtime period Trevor Jestadt worked to keep the puck inside blue line and fed in to Casey Gilling. Gilling put the shot on the Lansing Goalie and followed for rebound putting it under the goalie to ice the win.

The Indians next action will be against the Thunder Bay Kings home at 7:00 Friday at the Big Bear Arena and Saturday at 2pm at the Big Bear Arena. The finally game will played at 10am Sunday morning at the Pullar.


Indians advance to the bronze metal championship Game with a win over the West Michigan Hounds 4-1 

The Indians came out flying scoring 3 goals in the period. The scoring was started 7 seconds into the game by Kyle Yates from Cole Lussier. The second goal was scored by Trevor Jestadt assisted by Cole Lussier. Lussier scored the third goal from Pucci and Nolan, West Michigan scored at the 1:48 on the second period. The teams played even until TJ Zajac scored an open net goal to seal the game. Brandon Gordon was in net for the win.

The Indians will play the Lansing Capitals, 3:15 @ Compuware Arena
