Indians falls 6-0 in the first game against the Cleveland Barons

In the first game of the weekend series the Barons came out flying and put continuous pressure on the net scoring two goals in each period to to take the win. Brandon Gordon stopped 54 shots in the loss and played outstanding.

The teams meet at 10:15 Sunday morning at the Barons arena for the second game of the series.

Caesars takes the rematch 4-1

In the second game of the weekend series Little Caesars came out strong and put two goals on the board in the first period. In the second the Indians fought back to get within one when Landon Hubbard put a rebound behind the Caesars goaltender with an assist going Frankie Pucci. Caesars answered back with 1:11 left on a power play to take a 3-1 lead into the dressing room. The Indians couldn't generate enough offensive and Caesars put one more goal in to secure the win. Brandon Gordon played outstanding in the net for the Indians turning away 31 shots in a losing effort.

The Indians take the road next weekend traveling to Cleveland Ohio to take on the Cleveland Barons.

Indians take a 3-1 decision over Little Caesars

In a fast paced up and down first period both teams had great scoring chance but couldn't get anything past either goaltender. In the second period Casey Gilling scored on assists going to Seiya Hayata and Tyler Baker, Little Caesars answered back 2 minutes later. Less than 30 seconds later Mike Miller took a nice pass from Landon Hubbard and Ethan St.Germain and buried a shot behind the goaltender and the teams went to the dressing room with Indians up by one.

In the third period Little Caesars mounted a constant barrage of shots at goaltender Jarrod Sauve but couldn't get one by him. Cole Lussier iced the game with an open net goal 30 seconds left. Jarrod Sauve took the win stopping 33 of the 34 shots.

Both teams return for the rematch Sunday morning at 10 am at the Pullar Stadium.

Indians fall to the kings 3-2 

In the final game of the six game series the Kings outlasted the Indians to take a 3-2 win. The Kings struck first blood at the 10:38 mark of the first period, however Mike Miller scored assisted by Trevor Jestadt and Andrew Barbeau to finish the period tied at one. In the second Thunder Bay again scored first until Landon Hubbard scored on a breakaway to knot the score. The kings broke the tie at 7:00 minute mark to go into the dressing room ahead by one. In the third the Indians mounted a continuous offensive attack of 17 shots on their net but could not get one past the Kings netminder and fell 3-2.

On the weekend Coach Carricato was happy with the teams play stating that "we are going in the right direction and becoming a better and consistent team on the ice".

The Indians next action will against Little Ceasers, Saturday night at 7 pm at the Taffy Abel arena with the rematch Sunday morning at 10 at the Pullar Stadium.

Indians rebound to take a 4-1 win over the Kings

In the second game of the 3 game series the Indians came out strong. Throughout the first period both teams had several chances but with 1 second left Andrew Barbeau scored a power play goal from Cole Lussier and Seiya Hayata to take a 1-0 lead into the dressing room. In the second period the Indians continued when Brenden MacLaren took a pass from Trevor Jestadt and buried a shot in the top corner. Trevor Jestadt then scored on the power play on assists from Frankie Pucci and Cole Lussier to finish the period 3-0. In the third period Frankie Pucci scored from Cole Lussier and Seiya Hayata. Thunder Bay finally scored with 1:35 left to break the shut out with the score ending up 4-1. Jarod Sauve had the win in net.

The finally game of the six game series will be tomorrow at 10 am
