Indians roll over the Thunderbirds 7-1

The Indians finally found some scoring touch in Saturdays game against the Thunderbirds at the Rhodes arena.  Chase Tallaire out worked the Thunderbirds defender while killing a penalty in the first period stealing the puck then beat the goaltender for the 1-0 lead that the Indians would hold through the end of the period.  Early in the second period the Thunderbirds evened the score, but the Indians responded when Joe Moses won the battle for the rebound on a shot by Adam Brzezicki to regain the lead, then less than a minute later Nick Castillo scored from Luke Parry and Tallaire for a two goal lead and Brzezicki would add another goal on a shot over the shoulder of the netminder from Warner Young.  The third period opened with Cody Carlson scoring on a breakaway, set up by Castillo and Tallaire, midway through the period Warner Young scored on a shot from the point set up by Parry for the Indians 6th goal.  Hayden Daca finished out the scoring on a power play shot from the right point, assisted by Moses and Brzezicki, Dakota Meyers and Gabe Rosek split duties in the net with Meyers only allowing one goal and Rosek shutting the door.
The Indians return home next weekend when they will take on the A21 Academy from Windsor Ontario Saturday night 9pm at the Pullar Stadium for a double header hockey night following the Soo Eagles game, then the two teams will face off again Sunday morning at the Taffy Abel arena 10am.
