Indians get two wins against St. Cecile Prep

Saturday game started quick as Jordan Murray scored 30 seconds into the game, assisted by Dominic Cicco to give the Indians the early lead.  Late in the first St. Cecile scored to even the score 1-1 through the first period, early in second Murray added another from Carter Huckson and Deven Jones-McDonald to regain the lead and Treyce Moran added to the Indians lead from Cicco on a shorthanded goal for a 3-1 lead through two periods.  The third period saw Murray add his third of the game (Hat Trick) from Evan Hoglund and Cicco, then Deven Jones-McDonald added the fifth goal from Carter Huckson for the 5-1 lead.  However late the period the Indians ran into penalty trouble allowing St. Cecile to play 6-3 with their net empty scoring two goals in the last two minutes for a final score of 5-3.  Nathan Maguire stood tall in the net for Indians securing the win.

In Sundays game it was Evan Hoglund who split their defense and beat the St Cecile netminder for the lead which lasted through the first period.  In the second period  the Indians added 4 unanswered goals, first Dominic Cicco scored from Jordan Murray,  Sam Swintek scored on shot from the point from Carter Huckson and Deven Jones-McDonald, Hoglund added his second of the game from Tyler Neveau and Hoglund would get his third of the game (Hat Trick) from Cicco for a 5-0 lead going into the third period.  The Indians continued to score as Wyatt Fisher banged home a rebound from Treyce Moran and Jaxon Jara, then Carter Huckson scored from Jones-McDonald and Moran to close out the scoring for the Indians.  St. Cecile did get on the board late the period for a final score of 7-1.  Isaih Anderson had the duties between the pipes earning the win.

The Indians will get in league play next weekend as they faceoff against 4pm Saturday and 10am Sunday at the Taffy Abel Arena.
