Indians down the Rhino's 8-2

Indians scored early and often to take an 8-2 win over the Kalkaska Rhino's.  In the first period Brenden MacLaren opened the scoring from Brendan Miller and Drew Goupille, the Spencer DenBeste added to the lead from MacLaren for 2-0 lead through one period.  In the second Nick Skaluba opened the second period from MacLaren and DenBeste, 3 minutes later Skaluba scored his second from Jake Smith.  MacLaren added his second of the night from Skaluba and Ethan St.Germain to put the Indians up 5-0 before the Rhino's found the net for their first goal on a powerplay.  The Indians got back on the scoring ways when Zack Lasley scored from St.Germain and Aaron Shahin, Jonathon Bostwick ended the scoring in the second period from DenBeste and Anthony Harris to send the Indians to the dressing room up 7-1.  The Indians added one more goal in the third when Bostwick added his second on the night from DenBeste and MacLaren.  The Rhino's added a goal late in the third period and game ended 8-2 in favor of the Indians.  Shaun Brown and Will Hartwick split the duties in the net for the win.
The Indians will be off this weekend before they travel to Sudbury Ontario next Thursday for the Big Nickel Tournament.
